Henry Elliot "Hank" Holt

Henry Elliot “Hank” Holt, 85, of Malvern ascended to Glory on May 7, 2014.
Henry was born May 26, 1928 in Hot Springs, AR to George and Viola (Allen) Holt. Henry enjoyed farming, cattle, haying, gardening, tractors, and meeting people through his farm work. He loved his roses and planted 100 strawberry plants last November. Henry loved the outdoors, fishing, deer hunting, and riding four wheelers. He loved his kids and grandkids. Henry was also a veteran who served overseas in Italy with the United States Army.
Henry is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Haywood Holt.
Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bettye Holt of Malvern; two sons, Stephen (Teresa) Holt of Hot Springs, and Timothy Holt of Malvern; daughter, Ginger (Jim) Cozad of Little Rock; three sisters, Laverne Taylor of Malvern, Pauline Reynolds of Malvern, and Mary B. Green of Malvern; five grandchildren, Nicole (Mathew) Herndon, Aaron Holt, Jeremy Holt, Keith Cozad, and Elliot-Sloane Cozad; and one great-grandchild, Adalyn Herndon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Donis Smead officiating. Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Phil Brumley, Terry Brumley, Jim Cozad, Keith Cozad, Gary Gregory, Mathew Herndon, and Jeremy Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Cordell, Aaron Holt, Clay Pierce, Charles Spencer. A special thank you to Dr. Kaz and his staff, and Hospice Home Health nurses and aides: Lori, Sandy, Cheryl, and Pat.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Henry’s memory to Big Creek Cemetery, 631 Big Creek Rd. Malvern, AR 72104 or to the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Youth Program, 797 Mt. Zion Rd. Malvern, AR 72104.
